REBECCA TALIA
GAPS Practitioner, Naturopath & Herbalist
Hi there! My name is Rebecca and I am a Naturopath and Mum to one.
I have always been drawn to work in natural health and when I was young I would pour over books about herbs and plants. I would drive my mother crazy as I was constantly making “potions” and leaving them all over the kitchen and in the fridge.
Plants and foods and how they can influence wellbeing has always interested me and I decided to pursue a career in Naturopathy.
I take a very evidenced-based approach to my recommendations, and this is supported by over 18 years’ experience in the industry. In addition to clinical practice, I have also worked in the health food industry, educating practitioners and am engaged to provide training to pharmacy assistants Australia wide, along with other health professionals and the general public.
I haven’t always experienced good health. As a young child, I had periods of being quite unwell, with a number of hospital visits. As a teenager and adult, I battled with fatigue and anxiety. As an adult I was finally diagnosed with low thyroid function and an autoimmune condition. As a result, I drastically changed my diet which helped immensely. It can be a challenge at times – eating a gluten free diet doesn’t always fit easily with traditional Italian family gatherings!
These health challenges fuelled my interest in digestive health and supporting those with food intolerances.
